Came here on a Wednesday night because I was craving some kbbq and the intestines that this place was known for and so glad I did. When I first arrived there's was only 3-4 other tables, the host told me that I needed to wait a bit for my table as it needed to set it up (which meant putting down plates, all the side dishes, and turning on the stove I believe) before I could get seated which was fine as it only took less than a minute. We ended up ordering the beef brisket soy bean casserole, the beef tartare, the steamed egg with tofu and of course a small portion of large intestines. The beef brisket casserole was ok, I did find the soup to be quite thick from all the spices so I didn't enjoy drinking it as a soup. I was quite surprised that there were glass noodles in the dish which I liked but overall I wouldn't order it again. The steamed egg and tofu I didn't like at all (which was kind of my fault as I was looking more for that traditional steamed egg and didn't ask when I ordered). However I wish there was some kind of description or something on the menu that indicated it would be served with this kind of sauce or this way as it was very overly salty and made the dish hard to enjoy. The beef tartare was pretty good especially mixed with the raw egg yolk as it was nicely seasoned and was pretty tender, the slices of pear on the side also gave it a nice added texture and added to the overall flavor of the dish. And lastly the large intestines were served pretty much cooked by the time it came out so we didn't have to wait much longer to enjoy it which was nice. We did let it sit for a bit as I like them to be a little more on the crunchy and crispy side for the outside, one of my favorite dishes here and can't go wrong. Now for the service, which I thought was kind of interesting as at first I couldn't tell who worked there and who was a customer since no one was wearing any kind of uniform or anything but just their normal clothing which can be confusing especially since it took me a bit to realize who actually was working after getting sat, especially when most of them are just wearing tshirts and jeans or a hoodie and jeans. Of course this place is pretty casual given how late they are opened and the type of food they serve but this was a first time I've seen it like this going into a restaurant. Our server was pretty attentive and made sure our casserole and small intestine dish were fully cooked before we could eat them, and also made sure to check up on us throughout our meal. Overall, it was a pretty nice experience and I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

Worth the long drive! Satisfied my gopchang craving. I would probably get the large intestine next time which tasted the best among all the parts. Recommend adding rice cakes.

Love gopchang, love gopchang. Idk how many times I need to say this. I love their side soups that you can order with the intestines. I personally LOVE the fatty big intestines extra crispy. Pair that with the chives and sauce.. *chefs kiss* Open late night on weekends as well so a great place to go sober up or end the night.
